Quality without overpaying: Bosnia's cost-to-quality advantage explained

Why a lower cost base in Bosnia is structural rather than a discount on the work, and which three things we do not cut to get there.

Every low-cost delivery market makes the same promise, and in most of them the saving eventually comes out of the work: thinner screening, a rota instead of a team, oversight sold back as an extra. In Bosnia the saving has three structural sources, which is why it does not have to.

The local cost base

Salaries and employer costs in the Bosnian IT market sit well below Western European levels. Locally, IT is a well-paid profession, which is the part that matters: it pulls people into the sector and keeps them there, so a lower cost to you is not a lower income for the engineer relative to their own market.

Low establishment overheads

Premises, utilities and the supporting functions around a team cost a fraction of their Western European equivalent. Less of your fee goes into the building and the back office, and more of it into the people.

One operator, not a chain

You buy a team and the operation around it from the company that employs the team. There is no marketplace margin, no rotating subcontractors, and no offshore management layer to fund.

The three things we do not cut

The recruiting bar: profiles are screened against the role you described, not the role we can fill fastest. Continuity: retention is our job, not a risk we hand to you. Oversight: daily coaching and follow-up are part of running the team rather than an upsell.

Getting a number

We do not publish a rate card, because the useful figure depends on your roles, seniorities and term. Bring those three and the numbers come in the first call.

Frequently asked

Does a lower rate mean junior people?

No. The recruiting bar is set by the profile you describe, and you interview every candidate. Seniority is something you choose and pay for, not something the country decides.

Where does the saving actually come from?

The local cost base, low establishment overheads, and buying from one operator instead of a chain of intermediaries. None of those is a discount on the engineering.

Will the saving erode?

Local wages move, and IT wages move fastest. What is different here is the starting point and the pace: the market has not been bid up the way Poland and Romania have.
